History

Bounce DMT & Trampoline Club was established in March 2005, when its founders passed their Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) qualifications. Since then the club has received seven grants to help with the setup and development. The first was from Awards For All for £4280 and has allowed us the purchase the specialist Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) and Landing Deck. The second was from the Local Network Fund for £2030. This money is for specialist clothing to enable disadvantaged children to participate within the sport, by removing the cost of the full trampolining kit. The third was from Sport Relief for £800. This money was for a specialist Carpeted Runway for use with the DMT.

In 2007 we received three more grants. The first was from the Local Network Fund for £6500. This money was for a new Eurotramp trampoline with integral safety end decks. The second was from the Community Champions for £1950. This money is for coaching courses, child protection courses and first aid. The third was from the Local Network Fund for another £7000.This money was for another new Eurotramp trampoline with integral safety end decks and new floor matting.

In 2008 we received a grant from Medway Council for £100. This was to part fund Kate Curling's Level 3 Club Coach Course which she passed in December 2008.

The Founders

The Club was formed in March 2005 and is run by its founders, Thomas Everingham, 19 (now 23) and Hannah Curling, 19 (now 23). Both Thomas and Hannah have been involved in trampolining since the age of three. They have competed in local, regional, national and schools competitions gaining numerous trophies and certificates. Hannah and Thomas have been helping out at a number of clubs for numerous years and became qualified British Gymnastics Trampoline Judges in 2001. They continued to work hard and when they reached the required age to go on the course, they easily passed both the Level 2 Coach and Level 3 Club Coach British Gymnastics Trampoline coaching Awards in 2003. In 2004, Thomas passed his British Gymnastics Disabilities Trampoline Coach Award and Hannah passed her British Gymnastics Assistant Gymnastics Coach Award. In 2005 both Hannah and Thomas passed their British Gymnastics Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) Club Coach Award. In 2006, Thomas passed his British Gymnastics Level 4 Senior Club Coach Award. Over the years they have gained a lot of knowledge and experience within the sport and wish to pass this on to new members.
